Feb 1

I started with the tutorial to quickly learn how to navigate through the game. Once I did that the tutorial ended and let me take control over the game. I pretty much followed Diamond's theory that you need FOOD to support people. The game took forever but was extremely fun because the challenge was to produce enough food, keep trade between the cities of my empire, and keep up with the upgrades in the religious and military aspects of the game. My goal was to keep trae up with Ghandi and once I had enough minions to command I would conquer his empire. This strategy worked and it worked because my cities had enough trade between the 4 of them to maintain themselves independantly without needing Ghandi's goods. With this strong trading going on, I used religion to keep the cities happy and continuously built monuments in every single city, and never limited my empire by enforcing practices such as slavery or feudalism. I did this because I didn't want to have a cultural backlash at a pivitol point in the game and not have calculated it into my strategy. So with a strong economy, and a content culture it was very easy to produce more soldiers than Ghandi and soldiers of better caliber than Ghandi. Conquering the other empire was very easy this time around.
